Status of the legal and legitimate situation for the construction of public policies on food sovereignty in the municipality of Tiraque

Abstract

This article discusses the elements which can be considered in the municipality of Tiraque in Cochabamba department when formulating a public policy that addresses food sovereignty. To do this, in the first place, acts related to food sovereignty in the municipality are demonstrated, in addition to the intervention of institutions in this field. As a result, data which demonstrate the need for policies in relation to agriculture, soils, marketing, ancestral knowledge and relevant actors are obtained, which serve to demonstrate the inefficiency of some actions on the part of the authorities and the lack of follow-up to food sovereignty development projects.
