Abstract

Truth erosion, discursive manipulation, and public distrust of institutions have made the crisis of political legitimacy one of the most pressing ethical and philosophical challenges of our time. This article examines the relevance of Albert Camus's concepts of the absurd and lucid rebellion to develop an ethics of justice for the post-truth condition. It argues that lucid rebellion constitutes a form of epistemic and moral resistance grounded in measure, solidarity, and responsibility as the core of political action. As such, it provides an alternative to both nihilistic relativism and ideological dogmatism. More broadly, Camus's philosophy offers an ethical horizon capable of restoring political legitimacy from the standpoint of human finitude, promoting a justice grounded in lucidity, reciprocity, and shared responsibility in the face of the symbolic degradation of contemporary political discourse.
