Culture and plurality: on the possibilities of expressing “the diverse” in the film industry

Abstract

The work proposes an approach towards the different ways of acknowledgment of plurality in intercultural societies. Based on this, he refers to the ways in which the visual language of the film industry can understand such “acknowledgment”. Regarding the linkage of these two topics, the study of “La nación clandestina” of Sanjines and Spike Lee’s Do the right thing is proposed, both as distinctive films of the categories avowed by the work.
