Role of the anthropologist in times of globalization

Abstract

The content of this essay corresponds to three general themes that I exposed in a conference addressed to students and teachers: the context of globalization, its impact or influence on anthropological research, which leads to several challenges and challenges in the development of the task of the anthropologist. An important change is the form and type of communication between humans, the reconfiguration of communities and the sociocultural impact of new technologies. Events that require modifying and updating the anthropologist’s research methodological strategies, giving rise to the presence of different types of ethnographies.
